研究実績の概要

We have proposed a time-to-live (TTL) based caching mechanism with nonlinear pricing for Information-centric Networks. In TTL based cache mechanism, a timer is set to determine how long the content stay in internet service providers (ISP)’s cache, while contents providers(CP) pay for cache time length based on a two-part tariff price. We theoretically analyzed the cache occupancy rate, value rate, payment rate and CP’s utility, and provided solution for CP to optimally choose the time length stay in cache. We have some research results on premium peering between multiple ISPs and CPs. An international conference paper have been published and a journal paper has been accepted.

We have progressed our research based on our initial plan.

今後の研究の推進方策

In the following yeear, we will research interdependency between an ISP’s pricing for cache resource and its pricing for bandwidth allocation. Because CPs can choose to cache contents and/or use premium peering, their utilities depend on the ISP’s prices of cache and bandwidth. Therefore, how CPs choose the provided services by ISPs under different cache and bandwidth prices, and to understand the impact of the prices on CPs’ utilities will be researched.
