| 研究実績の概要 |
I have finished conducting a study about the subjective well-being of Filipino senior citizens and published the manuscript in an international journal. Also, I have finished conducting a web survey about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines, focusing on household food security and resilience. I presented our findings at the American Public Health Association (APHA) Conference last October 2021. I presented the study about the association of perceived social support and resilience among community-dwelling Filipino older adults. At the moment, due to COVID-19, I cannot go back to the Philippines. For this reason, I decided to conduct new research targeting Japanese older adults instead. Last January, my team went for fieldwork to check the feasibility of our new study.

理由
The new study is progressing smoothly. This month, my team will go back to the field to visit the island and meet the local people there. We will seek cooperation from key stakeholders to support our research. I hope that the COVID-19 pandemic will not delay our future progress.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
We are now finalizing the research protocol for the new study. We are polishing the survey questionnaires that we will use. We plan to do a mixed-method study, obtaining both quantitative and qualitative data. After finalizing the protocol, we will submit an ethics application at the Graduate School of Medicine.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
We will use the remaining funds for fieldwork expenses, payment for research assistants, and incentives for research participants. Also, we will use the extra funds for research publication.
