| 研究実績の概要 |
Research on this project has been strongly impacted by COVID-19 restrictions on travels and fieldwork activities. Hence, it was decided early in FY2020 to delay most of the work planed for FY2020 into FY2021. The budget for FY2020 has accordingly been saved, and only a quick preparatory fieldtrip was organized with the FY2020 budget.

理由
As mentioned, COVID-19 restrictions have prevented the proper implementation of this project in FY2020. The budget has accordingly been mostly unused in FY2020 and saved for FY2021.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
The schedule initially spanning over three years will be condensed into FY2021 and FY2022. Otherwise, the project shall remain as initially declared. In case of prolongation of the COVID-19 restrictions, remote work and data collection will be sought in order to proceed with the model development. Preparations have been made for recruitment of workforce to undertake promptly the project development as soon as possible in FY2021.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
As explained, it became rapidly clear in FY2020 that restrictions due to COVID-19 would make it impossible to implement this project properly. Hence, instead of using the budget in a suboptimal way, we preferred to save it and reschedule the project to fit hopefully within FY2021 and FY2022. Hence, outside of a preparatory fieldtrip that was possible during a brief lift of travel restrictions, the budget was saved and transferred to the next years.
