内胚葉形成因子SOX17の肝臓、胆管、膵臓発生における役割

研究概要

胎子の発生過程において、SOX17陽性の胆嚢・胆管前駆細胞は、心臓原基・横中隔の正中部位から外側の前腸後端部(左右一対)で、肝臓、膵臓の決定と同時に分化し、腸管の管状化の過程で本来の位置である肝臓と膵臓の間にソーティングされることを見出した。SOX17は、細胞自律的に胆嚢・胆管前駆細胞の決定に必須の機能を担っており、さらに、胆嚢・胆管前駆細胞でのSOX17発現量の低下が、発生後期の胆嚢,胆嚢嚢管の発達異常を誘導することを見出した。
