研究概要

遺伝子のプロモーター領域をターゲットにしたdsRNAよって転写型RNAサイレンシング(TGS)を誘導できる。我々は、ペチュニアとトマトの内在性遺伝子に対するTGSをキュウリモザイクウイルス(CMV)ベクターにより誘導することに成功した。このTGSは後代植物でも確認された。CMVベクターで人為的にDNAメチル化を植物ゲノムに誘導する技術は、エピジェネティックス制御のメカニズム解明に有益である。
