研究概要

本研究では、1年以上の共同生活(平均17年間)を営んでいる225組の日本人夫婦を対象に、睡眠のタイミングの比較を行った。さらに、種々の内的要因と外的要因が睡眠のタイミングに与える影響を評価した。解析により、夫婦両者の睡眠のタイミングは、自身のクロノタイプに強く規定されていたが、ある程度外的要因からの影響もみられた。この結果から、クロノタイプが個人の睡眠のタイミングを規定する最も強い要因であり、個人のクロノタイプを理解することが睡眠をとりまく生活の質を向上させることに有用であることが示唆された。
