研究概要

脳血流によって脳組織中の水分子が揺り動かされることに着目した揺動磁気共鳴(MR:magnetic resonance)イメージング法を開発した.この揺動MRイメージング法を利用して脳局所におけるバイオメカニクスの情報を取得し,臨床検討を行った.本手法が非侵襲的に頭蓋内環境を評価可能であり,特発性正常圧水頭症の補助的診断法になり得ることを明らかにした.
