研究概要

骨折治癒過程におけるマクロファージ遊走阻止因子(MIF)の役割をMIF KOマウスを用いて検討した。MIF KO マウスでは骨折治癒過程早期において骨折仮骨の力学的骨強度が低下しており、その機序として,類骨の石灰化の遅れ,破骨細胞数の減少が関与しており、これらはMMP-2, MT1-MMP,カテプシンK、およびアルカリホスファターゼmRNAの発現の低下と関連していると考えられた.
