研究概要

歯肉上皮細胞は口腔における分泌型白血球プロテアーゼインヒビター(SLPI)の主要な産生細胞であること,また, SLPIはPorphyromonas gingivalisプロテアーゼに対して阻害活性を示し,歯肉溝でのP. gingivalis感染に対する自然免疫として機能していることが示唆された.さらに,歯肉上皮細胞からのSLPI産生はP. gingivalisの感染刺激を通して増強されることが示唆された.
