磁気競合現象による新しい量子相形成と相転移

研究概要

量子相転移、および、幾何学的フラストレーションによる新しい量子相形成と相転移現象の典型例の創出を目的として研究を行ってきた。その結果、金属では初めてのチューニングのいらないゼロ磁場量子臨界現象、四極子自由度による近藤効果による異常金属相、自発的ホール効果を伴うスピン液体、乱れた蜂の巣格子上に現れるスピンと軌道の協力現象で現れる短距離秩序等を見出した。
