研究概要

研究代表者らは残留性有機汚染物質(POPs)の地球規模での生物地球化学的物質循環を詳細に解く全球多媒体モデル(FATE)の開発を行ってきた。本研究では海洋におけるPOPsの3次元輸送と基礎生産者への生物濃縮を詳細に解く高解像度海洋モデルを新たに開発し、FATEに導入した。新たに開発したモデルを用い、PCBsの海洋中における時空間動態の検討し、また、PCBsの物理・生物学的プロセスによる深海輸送量を定量化した。
