研究概要

市場競争が企業利潤や社会厚生に与える影響について分析した。特に、技術投資・企業間格差・垂直取引の問題に重点をおいて分析をした。幾つかの市場構造について分析を行い幾つかの興味深い結果を導出した。例えば、非効率企業の参入によって現存する効率企業の費用削減投資への誘因が強まる市場構造について明らかにした。この市場構造の下、投資促進効果が強く働く場合、この参入が現存企業の利潤を上昇させる。また、この非効率企業の参入によって社会厚生が改善することが明らかになった。
