研究概要

半導体レーザーにおける日米の研究ネットワークとイノベーションの関係の比較分析をインタビュー調査と特許・論文の分析に基づいて行った。アメリカはネットワークが大きく発展し、イノベーションはネットワークから生み出されていた一方で、日本のネットワークは小さく、イノベーションへの寄与も大きくなかったことが分かった。研究ネットワークの存在は企業のニッチ市場の開拓を促進する一方で、研究ネットワークの未熟な発達は要素技術のイノベーションを促進していたことが明らかになった。
