研究概要

界面活性をもつ物質の濃度勾配が引き起こすMarangoni対流の時間発展の観察、数理モデル化を目指して研究を行ってきた。その結果、界面活性のある樟脳を水面に固定した時に形成されるMarangoni対流のロール構造が別の界面活性剤の添加によって非線形な応答を示すことが明らかになった。また、内部の化学反応に起因して生み出された界面張力勾配により動く液滴について、その内部の対流構造を流体力学を基にして理論的に明らかにすることができた。
