| 研究実績の概要 |
The research is being conducted as planned. The first stage of data collection was complete in 2022. We published preliminary results in high IF journals. We also presented at several domestic and international conferences and symposia. We are currently preparing for the second (last) phase of data collection and analysis. In 2023/24 we will publish them and focus on disseminating the results at international conferences, practical webinars and teacher workshops.

理由
All activities are progressing smoothly. Reopening of Japan's borders after COVID-19 pandemic helped us resume our international activities and participate in research conferences.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
In 2023/24 (last year of funding) we are planning to complete the final stage of data collection (1) observation of EMI classes in several American universities; (2) holding interviews with EMI lecturers outside Japan and/or Anglophone countries; (3) conduct survey among Japanese lecturers (a Delphi study stage). After that, we will spend time publishing and disseminating the results at international conferences.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
Due to the continued difficulty to travel because of COVID-19 in 2022, it was decided to postpone some international travel, data collection, and conference participation. However, we were able to attend some conferences online and also in person when it was possible. Also, we held teacher workshops and some data collection online, instead of face-to-face. As a result, there was a balance in the cost of travel and miscellaneous activities.
