研究実績の概要 |
The research proposes a means to develop school-based and sustainable programs for practitioners in the classroom based on systematic reflective lesson study cycles. The aim is to create a collaborative co-inquiry learning atmosphere for teachers of Egypt Japan Schools in order to improve the quality of education. I will also cultivate communities of practice for sustainable professional development in schools. Then, I will create a network among schools to spread the culture of communities of practice. In 2021-2022, 1. I chose four EJS schools from different cities through negotiations with the Project Management Unit. The criteria were to choose previous participants of the EJEP training program to have a common base. 2. I started the investigation of the target schools online due to restrictions on travel. The investigation includes the current situation of the schools, the system of Lesson Study and its development so far in each school to enhance students' learning through Tokkatsu. I received recorded videos and written reports on previous Lesson Study classes to investigate and analyze the performance of the teacher and the participants in order to clarify the effect of Lesson Study on teachers' performance. In 2022-2023, I will design a new curriculum for co-inquiry through Reflective Lesson Study in collaboration with the school administrators as a sustainable school-based PBL. I will organize a small-scale Roundtable between the concerned school to share their practices and promote the value of communities of practice.

理由
本研究を進めるにあたって、当該学校との協力をするには教育省のEJS管理部門(Project Management Unit)の許可を得るために大幅に時間がかかった。許可申請をしてから許可が得るまで8ヶ月かかった。そのため、計画よりも多少遅れているが、計画通り進めていく予定である。

今後の研究の推進方策 |
I will continue the investigation process of the schools and I will introduce a new approach to Lesson Study towards improving the co-inquiry learning atmosphere for teachers which will be reflected in students' learning as well. I will support teachers to utilize the Lesson Study as a method to enhance students' agency through Tokkatsu. I will organize and hold a small-scale Roundtable and create a network among schools. I will present my findings of the last year and this year in domestic and international conferences and contribute to journals.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
計画上で現地調査を行う予定であったが、コロナ禍で対象の国への渡航が困難であった。また、調査対象の学校の協力を得られるための許可を得るまでの期間が向こうの事情で長引き、調査やデータ収集が十分でなかったため、学会発表も叶わなかった。 今年度は調査やデータ収集が順調に進んでおり、調査実行のために渡航することの計画を立てている。また、学校の協力を得られたため、進捗や成果を学会で発表したり、雑誌で投稿したりすることも組織的に進んでいる。
