研究実績の概要 |
Overall, the research went as plan. Study approval from the ethics committee of Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine was obtained in September 2021. The relevant software applications for real-time feedback presentation and data analysis were successfully implemented. Ten healthy volunteers completed two imaging sessions for the real-time precision mapping experiment. For the study involving patients, the scanning protocol have been tested and finalized.

2: おおむね順調に進展している
理由
The first year of the project progressed rather smoothly. We have achieved our objectives as outlined in the research plan. We have already recruited and scanned half the target number of healthy volunteers. The initial analysis of the acquired data also showed promising results.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
For this academic year (AY2022), we will recruit ten additional healthy volunteers. In addition, we will also recruit more patients with essential tremor. After scanning the target number of healthy volunteers, analysis of the full dataset will be performed. The results of the analysis will be presented in upcoming domestic and international conferences.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
Instead of acquiring a new real-time analysis PC, we just upgraded our existing system. We have also optimized our scan protocol to just 1.5 hours instead of the initial plan of 2 hours per imaging session. The budget that will be carried over will allow us to fund the required scans to complete the target number of participants for our study.
