Phase one results have been presented at the Japan Society for Medical Education conference 2022 and presented internationally at AMEE (International Association for Health Professions Education) as oral presentations.
This research has been awarded the Japan Society for Medical Education Silver award 2021, and a paper for an international medical education journal is being finalised for publication.

理由
The implementation of phase 2 has been delayed due to staff changes at the international partner site (Imperial College London) and due to the impact of COVID-19 on the capacity for results analysis and paper preparation.
Additionally there is further delay due to maternity leave of the principal researcher.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
There are no changes to the proposed research plan. We aim to complete the paper for phase one and progress with Phase 2. Due to maternity leave of the principal researcher, there will be an application to extend the research period so phase 2 can be completed.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
Underspend reasons: International travel to the AMEE conference 2022 was planned however due to COVID-19, a decision was made to participate online instead of face to face, resulting in an underspend in this fiscal year on travel expenditure.

Plans for use of additional funds: The underspend will be used to facilitate further international publication of the results of this study and additional articles on this research.
