コロナ禍により、訪玖がかなわず、ハバナのヘミングウェイ博物館での調査活動ができなかった。しかしながら、キューバでオンライン開催された国際学会には、動画発表の形で参加し、高評価されたとの報告があった。発表タイトルは 「フィッシング経験と創作－－ヘミングウェイのフィッシング・ダイアリーと『老人と海の』の類似性」であり、ヘミングウェイ直筆のフィッシング・ダイアリーの内容を分析し、『老人と海』の記述との関連を指摘した。また、ヘミングウェイの書き込み資料を扱った論文「ヘミングウェイの小切手簿 ―『海流の中の島々』にみる作家の家計」(pp. 261-283) を共著『ヘミングウェイ批評: 新世紀の羅針盤 』(小鳥遊書房、2022年) で公表した。

Due to the Corona disaster, I was unable to visit Cuba and was unable to conduct research activities at the Hemingway Museum in Havana. However, I participated in an international conference held online in Cuba in the form of a video presentation, and reported that it was highly acclaimed. The title of the paper was "Fishing Experience and Creativity: Narrative Similarity in Hemingway’s Fishing Diary and The Old Man and the Sea " in which I analyzed the contents of Hemingway's autograph fishing diaries and pointed out their relation to the descriptions in "The Old Man and the Sea." I also published an article dealing with Hemingway's written materials, "Hemingway's Checkbooks: The Writer's Household Accounts in "Islands in the Stream"" (pp. 261-283), in the co-authored book "New Directions of Hemingway Studies in Japan" (Takanashishobo, 2022).
