研究実績の概要 |
This research focuses on developing peptide recognition elements for small volatile organic molecules detection, which are diseased-related compounds. Benzaldehyde and acetone binding peptides have been derived from the odorant binding protein. Through molecular docking and simulation, the binding pocket and residues are determined. The amino acids SER and GLN played an important role in interaction with benzaldehyde by forming hydrogen bond and THR with acetone.

理由
The amino acids sequence for small volatile organic compounds benzaldehyde and acetone has been obtaied through the powerful computational visualization from the most sensitive mosquito odorant binding protein (mOBP). The approach addressed promising strategy for further development of recognition elements for odor sensing. Initial investigation on computation of organic receptors for small molecules has been published in the journal of the electrochemistry society. Based on the original research plan, the results on the peptide will be summarized and presented on the conference.
