研究実績の概要 |
We have fabricated a CVD graphene ribbon (GNR) and carbon molecular sieve (CMS) functionalised graphene-based FET gas sensor. The experimental procedure demonstrates the difference in the charge neutrality point of graphene in a particular gas environment. The CMS-functionalised GNR FET (CMSF-GFET) showed a sensitivity of 50 ppb. We have identified that the activated carbon act as an amplifier to enhance the gas sensing response. The dependence of this charge transfer on the applied tuning voltage was investigated using the charge neutrality point disparity (CNPD) method.

理由
We are carrying out different method to avoid adsorption of oxygen and water molecules on the surface of graphene. We also studying the effect of surface functionalization with different nanoparticle.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
In the next phase of research work, We have planned to functionalize the graphene different nanoparticles in order to improve the gas sensing. We will also find out a better nanoparticle in term of selectivity and sensitivity towards particular gas moleucle (eg. Ethanol, Acetone).
