研究実績の概要 |
In regard to the development of single atom catalysts (SAC) I proposed the strategy of using polymer metal complexes as precursors. In the first fiscal year I have prepared, characterized polymer metal complexes with Fe, Co, Ni, Ir and Ru. Along side Li-O2 battery characterization of polymer iron complex have been almost finished. Polymer-Fe complex showed a stability of 160 cycles of charge-discharge. Further, the electrochemical characterization of other metals complexes are under process. We are also trying to establish the preparation of SAC using pyrolysis method. Currently we have made the initial pyrolysis products of all the metal complexes and will be characterizing the SACs with high resolution TEM and XPS techniques. After that electrochemical characterization will be started.

理由
The characterization of SACs need high resolution TEM technique to evaluate the preparation. So, the availability of the machine time is slowing the over all process. Though the speed of characterization is currently slow but it is going smoothly.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
The future plan include the following key steps, 1) Optimization of SAC preparation 2) Characterization of SACs using TEM and XPS 3) Optimization of electrode preparation 4) Finishing 3 electrode based electrochemical characterization 5) Fabrication of Li-O2 batteries and testing 6) Post cycling characterization of electrodes to understand the formation of Li2O2.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
The total amount needed for the next fiscal year will be used for chemicals, glassware, gas cylinders, coin cell components and other consumables. Also the amount will be used for conference registration and travel if needed.
