研究実績の概要 |
1.Office work environment is undergoing profound changes such as tele-commuting, remote work. This study aims to address and promote musculoskeletal health among office workers. 2.Paradigm shift of the nature of workspace to a non-standard computer work arrangement have increased tremendously. Workers is exposed to a higher risk of work-related musculoskeletal disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome. 3.This study adopt non-invasive ultrasound imaging techniques, ergonomics and physiological research method to (a) identify the relationship and mechanism between occupational risks and median nerve compression and thus (b) aim to propose prevention strategies to reduce the risk of work-related musculoskeletal disorder. The main objectives are (1)to identify the impacts of computer tasks on the median nerve changes and extract the unique movements of wrist and fingers. (2)to investigate the impact of muscle force on the median nerve shape. (3) to identify the relationship between independent fingertip force and biomechanics characteristics of the median nerve. (4) to elucidate the stress response of the median nerve during work and to propose prevention strategies to reduce compression on the median nerve
Main research achievements, (1) three peer-review papers are published, (2) two manuscripts are in preparation, (3) presented in international and domestic conferences.
