研究実績の概要 |
Data of ambient PM2.5 from monitoring stations across Japan were collected. The corresponding periods of daily meteorological variables, including temperature and relative humidity, were obtained. All-cause, coded by the International Classification of Diseases 10th revision (ICD-10: A00-Y89), cardiovascular (ICD-10: I00-99), and respiratory (ICD-10: J00-99) mortality data for the Japanese population were also obtained. Cause-specific mortalities were stratified into three age subgroups: less than 15, 16-64, and above 65 years. Mortality data were statistically manipulated to link with the meteorological and air pollution data to construct the daily time-series dataset for the analyses.

理由
Data collections were completed as planned. Descriptive statistics were attained. Constructed daily time series are ready to be analyzed in accordance with the statistical model derived after the literature review.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
In this fiscal year (2022), statistical analyses will be performed to quantify the associations between PM2.5 on mortality. Firstly, prefectural estimates of the PM effects will be investigated by utilizing a time-series quasi-Poisson model. All local concentration-response functions will be formulated using a unified statistical design to assess and compare the shapes for each location. Then a random-effect meta-analysis will be fitted to pool the regional and national assessments. Stratified analyses by age groups and cause categories will be performed.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, domestic and international traveling was avoided and postponed. Therefore, I expect several travels in this FY 2022 if the trajectory of the COVID-19 pandemic decline.
