| 研究実績の概要 |
Based on the feedback from the academic conferences and conversations gathered from the field, the researcher was able to do the following: 1) published one (1) peer-reviewed journal article on Mindanao's critical role in the American-led hub-and-spoke system of hegemony in East Asia; 2) Gave a talk on the role of subalterns in international politics focusing on Indo-Pacific.
Currently, an article submitted to an indexed international relations journal is under review. Parts of the research are also being incorporated into one chapter book manuscript that the researcher is preparing for publication. These outputs are dedicated to the dissemination of the research results, and to expanding the scope of the proposed framework to other cases.

理由
The changes in the researcher's working conditions and difficulties in travelling (especially considering the costs) have posed hurdles in conducting the study.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
If possible, I intend to expand the study given the recent developments in the Indo-Pacific region, including the war on Ukraine and rising tensions between China and the United States. This could include: analyzing the perspectives of subaltern and local actors who are affected by these changes (for example, South China Sea) and how this affects their position in international politics.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
I was unable to use the remaining amount because I moved out of Japan for a Fellowship, which made it difficult to process various accounting-related requirements. I will use the remaining amount to pay for open-access services for journal article publication; for research-related expenses and to attend an academic conference to present the results of my research.
