研究実績の概要 |
This research investigates tangible and intangible factors explaining gender and rural-urban learning inequalities and changes over time in French francophone sub-Saharan Africa. In collaboration with the local investigator, it reviewed the relevant literature to capture recent research gaps, and a theoretical framework for the research was developed. It also started the quantitative analysis to understand the trends in tangible factors explaining gender and rural-urban learning inequalities. The quantitative analysis is still ongoing, and qualitative research tools and materials will be developed based on the results of the quantitative analysis. The mixed method approach employed will give a better understanding of the topic investigated.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
Once the quantitative research is completed, we will develop qualitative research tools and materials for the qualitative part of the research project. We will conduct the a pilot implementation of the materials and tools before using them to collect data. The data will be collected in three countries, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, and Togo. We will work with local research collaborators in each country.
We expect to have preliminary findings soon, and we will start disseminating them through conferences and workshops.
