研究概要

高齢者のバランス能力低下は、筋力などの運動機能の衰えだけでなく、感覚機能の衰えによる姿勢制御への影響が指摘されている。本研究は、立位バランスに重要な立位時の高齢者の足趾・足底感覚を新型感覚検査機器で評価し、その評価に基づきバランス能力を改善するための最適な立位・歩行時の重心移動を足底へ振動感覚刺激で呈示する方法を確立し、加えて、転倒の危険を回避する注意喚起可能な感覚刺激内蔵型靴の開発研究を実施する。結果として、高齢者の姿勢の動揺を回復するうえで靴内振動刺激は特に、前後方向の動揺に効果を期待できる結果となった。
