研究概要

年次計画に沿い、以下を実施、実現した。(なお「研究班」とあるのは、交付申請書(及び「研究計画調書」の「研究目的、研究計画・方法」欄に記載したものに対応する。
1)国際比較文学会、第29回ソウル大会で、ワークショップを企画し、その成果をArtistic Vagabondage and New Utopian Projectsとして英文論文集のかたちで発刊した。(研究班(1)、(2)関係)
2)本研究によって収集した資料・情報を基礎として、複数の論文を作成した。その成果の一部は、国際日本文化研究センターで実施した「国際研究集会」Questioning Oriental Aesthetics and Thinking+Conflicting Visions of Asia under the Colonial Empiresで発表された。(研究班(3)、(5)関係)
3)万国博覧会関係の海外調査等を実施し、その成果をもちより検討する研究会を実施した。(研究班(3)、(4)関係)
4)図書資料、関連写真資料の蒐集とデータベース化作業を準備し、その一環として「植民地都市と絵はがき資料」に関する研究会を発足した。(研究班(4)、(5)関係)
5)6つの研究班の調査進行に伴い、本研究による成果報告論文集の一部の論文の集積と編集を開始した。(研究班(1)、(2)、(3)、(4)、(5)、(6))
4)研究代表者は、サンクト・ベテルスブルク、ロシア、ロンドンほかの海外研究集会に招聘され、本研究の主旨に照らし、その研究成果を基調講演ほかで発表した。また、北米アジア研究会(AAS)に討議者として参加を要請され、当該研究の成果の一環を活用しつつ、北米の学会にたいして、報告と情報提供を行う傍ら、情報蒐集に努めた。(研究班(5)、(6)関係)
