研究課題
本研究課題は、極小論(Chomsky 1995,2001,2005)を、その射程外であるように扱われてきた音韻部門に適用することを試みるものである。その初年度である平成22年度は、統語部門と整合性のある極小論に基づいた音韻モデルの構築を試みるために、裸句構造(Bare Phrase Structure)を統語論と同じ依存関係に基づいて超分節構造(プロソディ)を捉えようとする依存・認可・統率音韻論(Anderson and Ewen 1987、Kaye, Lowenstamm and Vergnaud 1990、Harris 1994)に組み込むことを研究の中心とした。その遂行に当たり、極小論に関する最新の研究論文、および、依存・認可・統率音韻論を用いた音韻表示の適格性に関連する文献を収集し、その内容を検討すると同時に、すでに提案されている様々な超分節表示を批判的な視点から比較検討し、極小論に基づいた音韻表示モデルの構築を試みた。本年度の段階で考案した極小主義的音節構造および分節内表示の妥当性を検討するための言語分析およびその研究成果は、国内外において権威のある雑誌等から10つの論文としてまとめられ出版された。また、国内外で開催された15の国際学会やワークショップにおいて報告された。
