研究概要

非結合型マルチコアファイバのクロストーク特性を解析するために、モード結合理論ならびに電力結合理論に基づくモデルを構築した。具体的には、光ファイバの曲げやねじれを組み込むとともに、光ファイバの伝搬方向における不均一性をも組み込んだアルゴリズムの開発を行った。特に、電力結合理論においては、指数型自己相関関数に基づく平均電力結合係数の解析的厳密解を導出し、数値計算を不要とした。ここで設計、試作した12コアファイバは、世界初となる1ペタを超える伝送実験に用いられた。
