研究概要

メダカとトウゴロウイワシ類をモデルとして、「水温に対する性分化・生殖機能関連遺伝子の発現動態とその調節」、「生殖腺における高温起因のアポトーシス誘発機構」、「環境的性決定機構におけるストレス応答のメカニズム」および「生殖腺の温度感受性と性分化機構における中枢神経系の役割」について解析し、魚類の性分化過程と生殖機能の遺伝的・環境的制御における水温の分子生物学・生化学・生理学的作用機序の解明に資した。
