競争採餌による衝動性亢進の脳内メカニズム

研究概要

最適な採餌のために、遭遇した餌をすべて無選別に採るべきではない。量と近さの積で決まる利潤率に基づいて餌を評価し、選択すべきである。しかし、量と近さの内どちらを優先すべきか、これは一意に決まらず、状況に応じて変わる。群集で採餌する競争的条件を経験すると、孵化直後の雛は衝動性を亢進し、近さを優先した選択を採るようになる。競争は大脳線条体の側坐核ニューロンにおける報酬予期信号を減弱することが判明した。この過程が時間割引を制御していると予想される。
