研究概要

日本人の乾癬原因遺伝子の同定を目指したゲノム解析および遺伝子改変動物の作製による乾癬の発症機構を解明する目的の下に研究を進め、(1)乾癬の炎症反応には、HLA 遺伝子とともに複数の遺伝子(IL-12B, IL-36RN, CTLA4)が関与しており、(2)他方、表皮細胞の分化に係る CCHCR1 や FABP5 遺伝子も関与することが判明した。新規のターゲット分子として IL-36 の制御に係る薬剤の開発の可能性を示唆した。
