| 研究実績の概要 |
In the fiscal year 2023 I carried out the following research activities:
A) Review of the literature that analyzes the depopulation problem in Castilla y Leon region and the role that LEADER and PRODER programs is having on the non-agrarian part of the rural economy.
B) Review of the so-called "grey" literature regarding the activities of the Local Action Groups that were the focus of this year fieldwork.
C) Interviews on site (rural areas of Avila and Segovia) during fieldwork in autumn. The fieldwork, and the interviews focused on the remote working situation before, during and after the pandemic.
D)One publication: Rural development trough remote working in regions rich in rural tourism resources -1- : The case of Madrid rural areas in (post) pandemic Spain. 国際広報メディア・観光ジャーナル, 37, 69-85

理由
The research is progressing, more or less, as initially planed, although the fieldwork dates will be changed (from autumn to summer) for this 2024 fiscal year because of information and advice taken during the fieldwork of 2023 fiscal year.
Also, there are some difficulties due to variation in costs due to the international situation and due to the devaluation of the Yen.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
This fiscal year 2024 the Local Action Groups of Castilla La Mancha closest to Madrid (Cuenca, Guadalajara and Toledo regions) will be the focus of the investigation. First, I will continue the review of the latest literature regarding rural Spain and the remote work situation in Spain. Second, I will continue the review of the so-called "grey" literature of the LAGs that are the focus of this year investigation. Third, I will do fieldwork and interviews on site in August. Fourth, I will prepare a paper based on the investigation of the rural parts of Castilla y Leon (2023 fieldwork) and Castilla La Mancha (2024 fieldwork), continuation of the one that has been published in 2023.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
Unavoidable logistic problems (cancellation of a flight because of fuel tank leakage) prevented fieldwork in ASIDER (Asociacion intermunicipal para el desarrollo rural de la comarca Barco-Piedrahita-Gredos) region. As a consequence, the budgeted portion of that part of the fieldwork was left unused. That part will be used next fiscal year to do follow-up fieldwork in some of the regions targeted in 2022 and 2023.
