| 研究実績の概要 |
We have completed the validation of the microsphere-based assay for all 24 pneumococcal vaccine serotypes. WHO standard ELISA has been established following the protocol developed by the WHO.
We have got the ethical approval from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of School of Tropical Medicine and Global Health. We have applied for ethical approval from Nepal Health Research Council. Our application has already reviewed and we have addressed the comments raised by the reviewers. Material transfer agreement between the Institute of Tropical Medicine and the Siddhi Memorial Hospital has been completed.
For data and sample collection from the research site, RedCap training is completed and other lab equipment, including a deep freezer of -80 degree centrigrate is established.

理由
The project is progressing smoothly although it has taken time to complete the laboratory part of assay development and validation along with establishment of WHO ELISA for quantitative assessment of antibodies against pneumococcal vaccine serotypes.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
We expect to get ethical approval from Nepal Health Research Council by the end of this month. From next month, we plan to enroll children in this project along with collection of blood and saliva. We expected to finished data and sample collection of 300 children within 3 months of start of the project.
We will bring these serum and saliva samples to Institute of Tropical Medicine by the end of August and start testing them with the 24-plex assay. We plan to get the results by October, and start preparing the report.
