研究実績の概要 |
Starting from Oct. 2022, the research fellow placed a focus on enhancing her data analysis skills. To this end, she participated in several online training courses in advanced methods of data analysis. Additionally, she participated in the Annual Conference of the Japanese Sociological Association (in person) and the First ISSP User Conference (online). At the same time, she drafted two journal articles, one of which she submitted to the International Journal of Comparative Sociology. Furthermore, she prepared her planned analysis of the ISSP Inequality Module from 2019. In collaboration with the host researcher, the fellow has started an analysis of ISSP data on environmental attitudes, comparing changes in environmental attitudes in Japan and Germany over the past three decades.

理由
Since starting the fellowship, the fellow actively upgraded her data analysis skills. Her research interests have expanded to encompass environmental attitudes and lifelong learning, due to the opportunity to participate in international collaborative research. She drafted two single-author manuscript that are nearing completion, with clear publishing strategies in place. Together with the host researcher, she has prepared data for a book chapter and an article on environmental attitudes, underscoring a productive partnership. The fellow has taken proactive steps to disseminate her research findings, including her upcoming presentation at the XX ISA World Congress of Sociology in Melbourne and accepting an invitation to deliver a research talk at Tallinn University.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
In FY2023, the fellow will continue her collaboration with the host research, while seeking out further opportunities for joint research activities at Sophia University as well as creating a research network within the European Union. She will present her research at the XX ISA World Congress of Sociology in Melbourne and will deliver a research talk at the School of Governance, Law, and Society in Tallinn University. Research activities will inclued continuous analysis of ISSP data and preparation of publications.
