研究実績の概要 |
The objective of this project is to design novel functional porous materials by integrating mesoporous plasmonic films with chemically grafted organic layers to enhance selectivity. These materials will be applied to (i) monitoring food and water safety through optical sensing and (ii) utilizing greenhouse and related gases for organic synthesis.
New plasmon-active nanoporous materials were successfully prepared and their performance was investigated in terms of Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) detection of environmental pollutants in complex matrices containing various molecules and interfering substances. Particularly, hierarchical macro- and mesoporous Ag materials with organic layer coating achieved practical detections of microplastics, and the results were accepted for publication in Nature Communications (still not published). Additionally, the mesoporous plasmon-active substrates were evaluated in light-driven reactions for the degradation of environmental pollutants.
