| 研究実績の概要 |
Making positive self-evaluations can have a bad effect on social exclusion, as people may perceive the person as arrogant and consequently expel them from the group. Therefore, managing public self-evaluation is an important skill that can minimize the risk of social exclusion.
The aim of this study was to explore the psychological and neural mechanisms that regulate self-evaluation when receiving social feedback. In 2023, I modified the experimental task, cover story, and feedback based on the results of my previous fmri experiment to make the experimental design more robust and ecological validity.
Additionally, I completed the experiment program and the design of the fMRI scanning protocol to be compact and have greater statistical power.

理由
I am confident that this project is progressing well. Modifying the experiment's details has significantly improved its quality, despite requiring additional time. However, I firmly believe that this was a necessary step forward.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
In 2024, I will submit the revised IRB documents and get approval. Then, I will start recruiting participants and experiment.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
I will be attending an international conference in April 2024 and I also need to make sure that the budget is sufficient to conduct the experiment. Therefore, I have set aside some budget to be used in the next fiscal year.
