During the first four months, this research has progressed according to plan. Firstly, a review was conducted on the use and design of blockchain in education, which offered significant insights into this emerging field. In addition, we compared existing solutions to our proposed system, the Blockchain of Learning Logs (BOLL). Notably, the BOLL system has been enhanced by the development of new features, such as visualizations for lifelong learning logs in a timeline manner. These features were integrated into a learning analytics dashboard, which has the potential to provide valuable insights for educators and students. Similarly, an international conference paper was published, which presented a conceptual framework for reporting and analyzing assessment results on the blockchain. This paper contributes to the literature by proposing a comprehensive framework that can be used to facilitate the use of blockchain in assessment practices. Furthermore, we published a journal paper that presents a systematic review and practical case studies on blockchain in education. The paper offers a comprehensive overview of the state of the field and highlights important directions for future research. The study contributes to advancing our understanding of the role of blockchain in education and in developing new tools and approaches to support learning and teaching.
Overall, this research has made substantial progress in a short time. The activities completed is expected to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of blockchain in education and offer valuable insights.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
The next phase of this research will focus on conducting a usability experiment on the Blockchain of Learning Logs (BOLL) system. We will also develop and integrate a decentralized learning analytics interface to BOLL. Furthermore, we will develop user models using the lifelong learning data connected through BOLL, extract insights and provide them to students and teachers to support their learning goals. Specifically, we will research the following:
1. Usability evaluation of blockchain system for connecting education data. 2. How can we support student's current learning using connected data on the blockchain: practical use case analysis. 3. Personalizing learning experience using AI with blockchain connected data.
