研究実績の概要 |
In the second year of this project, the mechanism of using cellulose nanofiber coatings in prevention against short-circuit failure was clarified. The water drop test revealed that the water absorption and swelling ability of cellulose nanofiber coating layers, along with their zeta potential, are pivotal factors in preventing short-circuit failures of electrode coating materials. Besides, the adhesion and flame resistance of cellulose nanofiber films as copper-electrode sealing layers for safe, high-performance electronics were assessed. In addition to using cellulose nanofibers’ electrophoretic properties for short-circuit prevention, we investigated fundamental aspects of their deposition behavior this year. Our focus included the chemical and structural characteristics of electrophoretically deposited cellulose hydrogels, as well as the process of preparing transparent films from these gels.

理由
Following the research plan, this year we focused on conducting research to evaluate the electrochemical inhibition performance of selected cellulosic materials and conducting practical functional tests as coating layers for electronic devices. The research outcomes exceeded expectations, and the findings have been summarized for conference presentations and journal submissions. Therefore, this project is generally progressing well.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
For the next year, we will investigate a deeper understanding of the electrophoretic deposition behavior of cellulosic materials. Additionally, we will explore applications related to the electrophoretic properties of these materials.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
Based on the research topic, two articles were summarized this year. However, one has not yet been edited for English. The funds allocated for this purpose will be saved and used for English editing services next year.
