研究概要

本研究では、地球環境物質に着目したアイソトポマー計測法の確立および実試料への適用を行うとともに、アイソトポマー実測データ・理論計算によるアイソトポマー分別係数を用いた数値モデリングも行うことで、従来よりも高精度な地球環境物質の循環解析を行う。具体的な研究目的を以下の4点とし、並行して進めた。
１．重要な生体分子のアイソトポマー計測法の開発および環境試料・微生物試料への適用：エタノール、アセトアルデヒド、酢酸のアイソトポマー計測法について、迅速・簡便化を行った。長鎖n-アルカンのアイソトポマー計測について、ガ熱分解法を構築し、定量13CNMR法との比較を行った。
２．温暖化関連物質のアイソトポマー計測法の大気試料への適用：N2Oについては、前年度開発したマイクロ波放電法を用いたN2Oの三種酸素同位体比計測法の精度・確度を確認し、エアロゾル、雨水中の硝酸の酸素同位体比測定に適用した。硫黄化学種については、大気中の低濃度COSの濃縮等の前処理方法について検討を行った。
３．アイソトポマー分別の理論計算・模擬実験：SOの光解離過程について電子状態間の非断熱遷移を考慮した量子緊密結合計算プログラムの開発と実施を行った。得られた同位体分別係数は，質量依存分別線からかけ離れた結果となった。COSの大気中分解反応の同位体分別を理論計算及び実験から決定した。
４．アイソトポマーモデルの構築と物質循環解析：海洋N2Oアイソトポマーモデリングについては、既存の観測値をもとにモデルを構築し、同モデルを用いて観測結果を定量的に解析した。硫酸エアロゾルアイソトポマーモデリングについては、既存の観測値と理論計算、室内模擬実験から得られた分別係数をもとにδ34Sを予報できるモデルを構築した。SO2の光励起反応によって引き起こされる質量非依存分別によって大規模噴火後の極域氷床記録を初めて再現した。

2: おおむね順調に進展している

理由

全体計画を具体的な4つの研究目的に分け、それぞれが各計画年度の目標を達成している。
１については、C2化合物のアイソトポマー計測の迅速・簡略化ができた。
２については、N2Oの3種酸素同位体比計測法の開発が順調に進展している。
３については、3原子系において非断熱現象を取り込むプログラムの開発とSO2分子のデータの準備ができた。
４については、海洋・大気ともに今年度予定していた段階のモデルを構築できた。

今後の研究の推進方策

今後も全体計画を4つに分け、それぞれを並行して進める。
１については、実際試料への適用を進める。
２については、測定法の開発を継続するととともに、大気試料への適用を始める。
３については、4原子分子以上の系における量子効果を取り入れた半古典動力学法の開発を実施する。特に、気相・液相・固相も考慮したQM/MMモデルを用いた分子動力学シミュレーションを実施する。
４については、今年度構築したモデルの改良・拡張を行う。最終的にそれぞれを統合し、主要な地球温暖化関連物質の循環像の精緻化を行う。
