研究概要

本研究では、多光子レーザー顕微鏡を用いた生命現象の体感的理解教材の開発・作成を実施した。その過程で、最近特に社会的な注目を集めているiPS細胞などの幹細胞を用いた幹細胞再生医療に関する教育教材をも作成した。さらに、教材データの開発中に、世界最高感度の癌細胞検出技術の開発に成功し、成果は日本国科学技術振興事業団（ＪＳＴ）の支援を受け、国際特許申請として発表した。これらの教材データは、特許認可が下り次第、インターネットを通して無料公開する計画である。本研究は、当初の研究計画を着実に遂行しただけでなく、癌細胞検出技術の開発にも成功し、大きな成果が得られたと考えられる。
