研究概要

ウェブ上に日々蓄積されるデータや各種のセンサーから取得されるデータなど、大規模で不定形なデータから知識発見を行う場合には、詳細な分析の前処理としてデータをある程度均質な属性をもつグループに分類することが必要である。大規模なデータは多数の項目を含むが、その中の小数の項目だけに着目することで、妥当な分類ができる場合が多い。本研究では質的データの分類のための変数選択法および正則化法に関して理論的な解析と数値的な検討を行った。この研究結果を赤外線センサーからのデータを用いて人間の行動を推定するシステムに応用した。
