In this last year of our funding, we completed the input and analyses of quantitative and qualitative data from our four nationwide surveys, which involved 2,873 educators at primary and junior high schools, and presented at academic conferences (four domestic and one international). We published a paper in Japanese on part of the results and are rewriting another. A full report on all of the data accumulated has also been printed in book form (116 pages), and has been distributed to scholars and libraries; we also plan to send report copies to prefectural boards of education throughout Japan.
