研究概要

太陽表面では激しい爆発現象が至る所で発生している。近年、我が国の太陽観測衛星「ひので」をはじめとする観測手段が発達して、爆発現象を微細な点まで観測できるようになってきている。太陽表面爆発現象の特徴は、高温プラズマの突発的な出現と高速ジェットの発生である。この研究では、人工衛星、地上望遠鏡を用いた共同観測から、これらの爆発現象が発生する仕組みを明らかにすることを目的とした。その結果、太陽外層での磁気リコネクションという物理的な過程が、重要な役割を果たしていることが明らかになった。
