研究概要

基礎的研究としては、好中球を中心とする免疫系の過剰な活性化、特にアポトーシスやNETs (Neutrophil Exracellur Traps)との関連を検討した。これらは症例ごとの解析とともに、ヒトからの検体、マウスや細胞を用いた基礎的実験系においても解析を進めた。
また、臨床面では、高齢者のインフルエンザ肺炎に言及した医療・介護関連肺炎(NHCAP)に関する研究を、引き続き精力的に行った。治療レジメンや感染制御に関する論文なども発表した。
