研究概要

幾何解析における① G.Perelmanによるポアンカレ予想の解決② H.Brayによるペンローズ不等式の証明 という2つの全く新しい進展を萌芽的出発点として、ペンローズ不等式とよばれるリーマン幾何学的な文脈を持つ不等式の一般化に成功した。また研究分担者中村はアインシュタイン方程式と密接に関連する非線形双曲型偏微分方程式に関する研究を進めた。研究代表者は、平成２４、２５年度に国際研究集会を企画、また国外での研究集会等の情報交換の場を確保することで、現在の共同研究者であるGilbert WeinsteinとMarcus Khuriとの研究が大きく進んだことが、本研究課題の主な実績に直結した。
