研究概要

プラス鎖RNAウイルスはオルガネラ膜上でゲノム複製が行われるという共通した特徴がある。本研究ではプラス鎖RNAウイルスのゲノム複製機構に必要なウイルス側、宿主側の因子を同定し、プラス鎖RNAウイルス共通のゲノム複製機構の解明を目指した。プラス鎖RNAウイルスである風疹ウイルスのゲノム複製定量系を樹立し、ウイルス側、宿主側のウイルス増殖促進因子を同定した。風疹ウイルスが形質膜でゲノム複製を行うことを初めて明らかにした。本研究の成果はプラス鎖RNAウイルスのゲノム複製メカニズムの解明に有用と考える。
