研究概要

カテプシン D 欠損マウスの全脳サンプルを用いて、同マウスにおいて増加しているタンパク質をプロテオーム解析にて探索し、いくつかのタンパク質を同定したが、その一部は、同マウスの変性した神経組織の活性化したミクログリアないしアストロサイトに局在していた。またカテプシン D によって活性化されると報告されているカテプシン C の動態を検討したところ、同マウス脳で著明な増加を見たが、活性型ミクログリアが同酵素を発現するためと判明した。
