研究実績の概要 |
The present study is to establish an experimental system that combines in-situ neutron diffraction and AE techniques to investigate the deformation behavior and microstructure evolution of Mg alloys at temperatures ranging from 20K to 723K. In FY2023, the applicant conducted the following experiments and presented the corresponding results at various conferences to achieve this aim: (1) In-situ neutron diffraction experiments during deformation at cryogenic temperatures were successfully performed on AZ31 alloy and LZ91 alloy using the engineering diffractometer TAKUMI at J-PARC. (2) The results of the AZ31 alloy showing the detwinning behavior at 20K were presented at the "2023 JIM Fall Meeting" and "PRICM 11". (3) The results for the LZ91 alloy showing the deformation mechanisms at 20K and 77K were presented at "TMS 2024".

理由
In FY 2023, the in-situ neutron diffraction during cryogenic deformation experiments were performed successfully. The temperature dependent deformation behavior of AZ31 alloy and dual-phase LZ91 alloy were investigated. The results were presented at one domestic conference and two international conferences.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
In FY 2024, the applicant will utilize the newly purchased AE sensor and pre-amplifier, combined with in-situ neutron diffraction, to track the deformation behavior of Mg alloys at cryogenic and elevated temperatures. Microstructure observation experiments will be conducted. The obtained results will be presented in conferences. In FY 2025, the applicant will conduct additional experiments, data analysis. The results of these experiments will be presented in conferences. Additionally, the applicant intends to summarize all the findings for submission to academic journals.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
Due to the depreciation of JPY, presenting at international conferences went over budget, so the purchase of the AE sensor was postponed to FY2024. Additionally, the incurring amount will be used for sample and jig preparations, academic conference participations and a data analysis workstation in FY2024.
